Diagnostic Testing

Diagnostic hearing evaluations at Audiologic Solutions are performed in a sound proof booth by an audiologist who holds their doctorate in clinical testing. We evaluate infants through adults. Diagnostic evaluations included several different tests that can evaluate the degree of hearing loss and subsequent treatment. Tests include air conduction, bone conduction, speech testing, tympanograms, and distorion product otoacoustic emissions, as well as auditory brainstem response testing.

Prior to the diagnostic evaluation, a complete case history will be taken looking at your medical health, hearing health and any tinnitus. We ask that you bring a copy of all medications you are taking with you to your appointment.

Diagnostic evaluations are usually covered by most health insurance policies, however a referral may be required. Patients are seen on a self referral basis as well. The office visit may or may not be covered by your private insurance.

Yearly testing is usually recommended and once you are an established patient, we will send out a reminder card yearly.
